The Outsider is the debut release under the Jeff Elder name — the first official solo release in over 40 years of making music under various names and projects. Two tracks. No rules. No filler.
Recorded in a self-imposed 48-hour session, this is free-form mood music built for listening with your eyes closed. The concept was simple: plug in, alter mind, throw out the rules, and don’t drag it out. What came out was something worth sharing.
The Outsider — A soundscape built around the feeling of not quite fitting in. Walk through a crowd. Close your eyes. You’ll understand.
Waldeinsamkeit — A German word describing the sublime feeling of being alone in the woods. That feeling, translated into sound.
This is the beginning of an ongoing project. There will be more.
