Stu Starr — I’m A Star: The Remixes

Stu Starr doesn’t do anything small — so of course his breakout single I’m A Star isn’t just getting one remix. It’s getting three.
What’s on the EP:
The Tired Ass Dance Mix — the core extended dance floor version. Deeper bass, fuller arrangement, built for maximum impact.
The Red Red Groove Remix — courtesy of Mike Castle of Red Red Groove, the legendary Tulsa industrial band whose underground roots share DNA with the same scene that inspired the world of Starr Love.
The House of Sterling Remix — a smoother, house-influenced reimagining that gives the anthem a whole new groove.
I’m A Star is Stu Starr’s hit single — the song that finally gave him the fame he’d been chasing his whole life. It exists both within the pages of Starr Love, Jeff Elder’s darkly comic novel set in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and as a real release, blurring the line between fiction and reality on purpose.
This remix EP continues the Starr Love multimedia rollout, which carries on this summer with the release of the Starr Love audiobook, narrated by Jeff Elder himself. (Released July 3rd, 2026).
Track listing:
- I’m A Star (Tired Ass Dance Mix) (4:34)
- I’m A Star (Red Red Groove Remix) (3:29)

Stu Starr is a singer, personality, and legend whose story is told in the novel Starr Love. Whether the legend is fact or fiction is a question best left to the listener.
